Curtis Cunningham - Owner/Professional Arborist/Climber
Curtis was born and raised in Austin, Texas. When he was a young boy he spent most of his time climbing trees as a hobby instead of riding bikes or playing baseball. He fondly remembers sitting up in the tall trees on his parents property near Lake Travis as a child, where his parents could not reach him. He would daydream about working with trees for a living. As an adult he moved to Kingsland, Texas in 2005 where he remained until 2018 when he bought a home and moved to Llano, Texas. He achieved his goal of working with trees by becoming the crew chief for two different landscaping/tree service companies in the area for ten years, before branching out on his own. He’s affectionately called by several of his clients, The Tree Doctor. He’s living his dream job....working with trees. While trees are his specialty he also has vast experience with lawn care and landscaping too. His knowledge and love for his job clearly show in the work he provides to his clients and to support his family. Curtis is a family man and is married to Melissa McLean Cunningham. They have three children...Aurora Skye, Tanner Ray, Sierra Storm and one precious little granddaughter, Lorelei.

Melissa grew up in Burnet, Texas. She lived and worked in Burnet, Marble Falls and Kingsland throughout the years. She moved with Curtis and the kids to Llano in 2018 when they bought a house. She currently works with Curtis-C Tree & Lawn. She is opening a new business with details to come soon. She’s a firm believer in treating a client the way she wants to be treated. There’s always a reason to smile.
Are we insured and licensed?
We have all necessary licenses for our area, and we carry insurance for all of our projects. We can provide a certificate of insurance upon request.
Some larger tree removals require special licenses, certifications or permits. We secure those prior to the job. These special projects are taken on a case by case basis and individualized to accommodate our customer’s needs.
We also are on several cities and towns approved contractor lists.
What kind of work do we do?
While Curtis-C offers land and lawn services, tree care is still the heart of the business. The crew spends most of its time on large and hazardous removals, careful trimming and pruning, and stump grinding. These services make yards safer and easier to use.
When jobs call for it, Curtis-C can also help with land and lot clearing, sod removal and installation, grading, basic drainage and rock work to finish out a project. The idea is simple: handle the heavy tree work first, then put the yard back together. This way, you can enjoy the space again.
